OC's Carol and Humberto at Kenzo! Opening Ceremony rules !

We are happy to congratulate Opening Ceremony's founders, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, on their appointment as creative directors of Kenzo. Carol and Humberto must be so excited to work with the storied French house, started in 1970 by the legendary Kenzo Takada. As a Japanese designer in Paris, Kenzo brought an inclusive and bright diversity to ready-to-wear and beyond, with indelible ideas such as the wild "Jungle Jap" retail concept. This exuberance in fashion is echoed by Opening Ceremony. Félicitations!

Stephane Rolland presented his A/W 2011 collection and it was simply exquisite! The designer presented a collection that is both sculptured and light, inspired by Asia.

Our favorite has to be the kimono wedding gown. It apparently weighs a ton, but the extra weight would be worth it and a good workout. Ha!

I am always proud when "new" french designers do well during the Fashion week , but this time this is taking "doing well" to a brand new level ! This is pure amazingness !

Baby Model... Not so Chic

Talk about kids growing up too fast.
Vogue Paris Cadeaux is featuring some very young models all dressed up in their December/January issue.
The little girls, Thylane, Lea, and Prune were styled by Melanie Huynh and photographed by Sharif Hamza.
Even though her name isn't in the credits, outgoing EIC Carine Roitfeld's fingerprints are all over this one.
But clearly, putting couture on 6 year-old girls is not the best way to showcase the designs, nor, we imagine, does it induce anything in the viewer but horror and revulsion. We're trying to picture the distaff version of this and we simply can't do it.
