Hermès has jumped on the DIY wagon with it's free downloadable paper Hermès Kelly bag that you can decorate yourself or choose from a variety of designed prints. (To get there, go to the Hermès homepage and click on the thumbnail in the middle that says "i want it, i'll have it!" along with the image of a blank white bag.) If you are particularly crafty, you could use the template to make your own version of the bag in fabric.

Hermes Fall 2011 Collection

So now that Christophe Lemaire, a French designer with no great cachet in terms of widespread international name-recognition, has joined the house to replace the hijinks instituted for several years by Jean Paul Gaultier, the audience was curious to see if and how the strategy had changed. The outcome, viewed in a show held in the new Hermѐs store on the Rue de Sevres, was puzzling. Lemaire, who has his own collection which veers toward the minimal-Asian tendency of Western design, staged a debut which, with its big shouldered robes, leather caps, and pants fused into boots (Bants? Poots?), not to mention the fact that one model was carrying an eagle on her arm (alive) and another had a bow and quiver slung about her person, almost appeared to be channeling the spirit of Claude Montana, eighties-style.

I've always been in love with Hermes !
First of all : I am addicted to fashion AND cannot live without horseback riding ! I love horse and I need them around !
It makes sens that the first fashion brand I've been attracted to was Hermes...
It all started with saddles , orange Carre, the softness of this silk just reminds me of my beloved mummy ! I touch a Carre Hermes and I immediately can smell her perfume! Chanel N'5 enters the room when I see or touch something Hermes !
The Brand is high quality, High design and took an edgy way that I admire and love since French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier jumped on board !
Well, Long story short ... We love this new idea from Hermes' Marketing team ! well done guys !

There is a material known as Transparent crocodile/alligator!! We keep thinking to ourselves, is it even possible?
With Hermes and Jean Paul Gaultier, nothing seems impossible. This material is used in both Jackets and Bags. It’s a very unique material but then again, what do you think of it?

The birth of the "Picnic Kelly" (shown above) is the result of the marriage of wicker and Barenia calfskin, 2 contrasting materials and hence textures, which, interestingly enough, hasn't been attempted by Hermes...until now, that is!
