The mystery over Lily Allen’s Chanel wedding dress has been revealed this morning. Published on the Chanel website, a photograph and accompanying sketch of Lily wearing an empire-line cut gown in sheer white chiffon confirms Lily did in fact wear Chanel for her wedding.

Officially known as the Chanel Paris-Shanghai Take Away Bag, it came out last year and retailed for USD7500 a piece. Modeled after the humble Chinese takeout box and made famous after Lady Gaga was snapped carrying one, it sold out soon after.

Thing is, I don’t hate it!
nd seeing in twice more in person just made me appreciate how Karl Lagerfeld dares to push the boundaries. I’m just wondering: would it have worked if a brand less famous did the same, or did it work for Chanel because well, it is Chanel?

I just don't get it : Blake is a hot smoking girl , Karl is a genius photographer and Chanel .... well , IS Chanel ! What on earth do you need more to create an amazing Ad campaign ????!

Tisci to Dior, Ackermann to Givenchy, Slimane to YSL

Clearly the only thing anyone in Paris is talking about this week is John Galliano, and who will replace him at Dior.

The latest gossip goes something like this: Riccardo Tisci will indeed replace Galliano at Christian Dior, Haider Ackermann will slip into Tisci’s spot at Givenchy, and despite YSL’s vehement denial otherwise, Hedi Slimane is about to take over for Stefano Pilati. Oh, and yes, Carine Roitfeld is coming along for the ride. What’s more, if Ackermann is out of the running at Chanel, does that mean its Alber Elbaz’s when Karl purportedly retires in 2012?

We’ve heard all of this before, so who knows what will actually happen. But one thing’s for sure, Galliano’s ousting has changed the face of Paris fashion forever
